Will i get the same performance if i use a dvi to vga converter?

Hello guys i have purchased a gtx 1070 and it has hdmi ports and dvi-d port so i want to connect it to my old screen vga cable if i buy a dvi-d to vga active adapter will it work like normal or will i see some issues or performance degradation and thank you.

You should not have any issues. The performance is limited by your monitor.
So I gather your screen does not have DVI or HDMI. A Shame. The 1070 is a good card and it's benefits will be lost on an old VGA monitor.
