Hey, this is my first thread here as I've resorted to making an account and posting one because, I can't seem to figure out how to fix this. EDIT: Forgot I actually had posted here a year ago, oops! (was on another pc)

Problem: My PC keeps freezing up, or at least the applications are. My mouse is still movable when it happens, and my PC isn't actually crashing or anything like that. Also something I've noticed; my disk usage is almost always at 100% and there's a particular Windows Update that keeps failing to install (I've already tried manually installing it from the Windows site; no luck though).

So I'm a bit perplexed as to what my issue could be. If anyone could give me some help on this, it would be much appreciated. Specs below.

[Basic Specs} - Republic of Gamers, ASUS Laptop

GPU: GTX 960m
CPU: I7 - 4750Q (Has it's own GPU)
Ram: 8.00GB (Speed is 1600 Mhz; I think)
System Type: Windows 10, x64 Based
Storage: 1 Terabyte; 384GB Free of 930GB
I'm currently using WIFI as well-

If any part of these specs need to be more detailed, just say so.

Download hdtune and run it on the drive, look on the health tab and let that page run a SMART scan

at very least it will tell us what make the hdd is. Some brands have their own tests we can run on drive for a second opinion scan.
