how to save hdd files when installing windows on ssd?

hello , i have HDD now with Crive and Drive . the windows files are on C Drive and on D: Drive my private files.

i want to install new windows on ssd but how do i save only the Drive?
another question : i need to disconnect the HDD before installing the ssd?
cuz if i connect the hdd afther the installtion i will have 2 windows?

please help me its my first time

Disconnect HDD, install windows onto SSD. Files on HDD will be unaffected.
Reconnect HDD, delete previous windows partition and old windows is gone.
