Hello.
I am an Italian amateur who from time to time buys a faulty laptop and tries to repair it, just for fun.
But I am fed up with the work because it is an expensive hobby and there are no fix rules.
You cannot trust what people tell you as different people have different opinions.
There are those who say that you should never touch a mobo with your bare hands because of the static electricity and those who do touch them
Another thing: Is it true that sometimes you have to assemble the whole computer in order to see if the mobo is working ? It never happened to me but now I bought a supposedly working mobo for a Toshiba Satellite L40 and I tried to test it outside the case but there are no signs of "life".
Await yr news
Thanks and regards
