Uninstalling Logitech drivers necessary?

Hi, I'm planning to switch to a new different mouse and keyboard combo, still Logitech.
The mouse and keyboard are connected wireless by a single usb.
Do I need to uninstall the drivers for the old combo before plugging in the new one?
Does it being a plug n play device matter or not to uninstall?
example: switching an MK270 combo to an MX800 combo.

sorry if the question is dumb, am a bit tech illiterate...
Thanks.

If you've installed Logitech's SetPoint software, I'd recommend that you update it. In the tool tab of SetPoint, there's a submenu with a hammer/screwdriver icon - click on it. Then, under Web Updates, click on the Check Now... button and run the update.

Next, under that hammer/screwdriver icon, is a star icon - click on it. This is the unifying software- run it to link up your new MX800 combo. Done - nothing to uninstall.

No, I didn't install or download any software I just plug n play the unifying receiver that is all.
I'm not using the same unifying receiver from the old MK270, so it is okay to just unplug the old receiver and plug in the new one that comes with the MX800?
