Windows 10 resetting this PC stuck at 43%

Hi, I tried to factory reset my laptop, but it got stuck at 43%, and it remained like this for a couple of hours so I powered it off. Now it shows just an unlock screen where it says username and password , I filled them and nothing happened, it said password or user name incorrect. I have like 2-3 years of experience but nothing like this happened to me ever before.

What was the reason for the factory reset? What problem or problems were occurring?

As for the Username and password is "it said" from the laptop or a Windows screen?
