As the title says, I want to upgrade my gpu to either a 1070/1070ti & 100hz+ monitor or upgrade my cpu to an i7 7700k. Im a little uneasy on which to choose and have been kind of stuck on the fence. My overall system specs are:
CPU - i5 6600k OC'd to 4.5 (idles around 20C and caps out at 55C)
GPU - GTX 1060 Dual 3gb (Stock clocks)
Mobo - Maximus VIII Gene
RAM - Kingston DDR4 2666Mhz (2x8gb)
Storage - 240 gb Kingston Savage ssd (Boot), 2tb Seagate 7200rpm (Games/programs)
Also, on most of the games I play, I have noticed that my cpu does not hit 100% except when loading assets for a game (When booting for the first time not during gameplay). The gpu is near 100% and the VRAM on the gpu is almost always pegged at 3gb. Im leaning a little more to the gpu as on now and would like and opinions that people may have to help with my decision.
