[SOLVED] new 4k 120hz tv doesnt display anything above 60hz

hi, today got my shiny new TV samsung QE49Q6FNA, should be native 120hz panel, but doesnt seem to be working on any resolution above 60hz, some resoltutions have only 100/120hz options
so, is my screen broken or do i miss something? tryied 2 different cables

either you need a device that can take advantage of 120hz or you need to set the right picture mode. the picture modes for high refresh rate are usually sport and gaming modes

gaming mode is enabled, by device pc should be enough rite?
tbh, either it displays black screen (not even tv menu pops up) or that screen has tons of vertical lines without backlit

just noticed this was still sitting here..
got it already resolved...panel is 60Hz, it had incorrect EDID from factory
samsung service (person) didnt help tbh, they replaced mainbooard, but that didnt resolve anything..
so the answer is:
opened samsung service menu, changed panel type
option -> type -> here selected 49A6AU0QN (which is what is here)
as for EDID, that seems to get writen from mainboard firmware (based on your panel selection)
control -> edid -> edid on -> edid write all -> success
after TV reboot, all is fine now
