Hello,

I have an Asus Vivobook Pro 15 laptop that I am trying to connect to Samsung UE49NU7102 via HDMI.

Everything works fine, but only until the desktop is displayed.
But as soon as I turn on the game (FIFA 19) and the main menu appears to me, the resolution changes to 3840x2160, 30 hz by itself.

The desktop display resolution is 1920 x 1080, 60 hz. That's how I set the TV in the screen settings.

In the Fifa settings, I also have the 1920x1080 resolution set.

I have to use this resolution because my graphics card does not support 4k in 60 frames, only 30 Hz.

Unfortunately, at 30 frames, the game is horrible and the liquidity loses very much.

Can be blocked somehow, so that the resolution even while playing is Full HD, 60 Hz?

I have a game mode on my TV, but it does not help.

Solution
I have the latest BIOS version - 315, from 2018/04/16.

My Asus is VivoBook Pro 15 N580VD i5-7300HQ/8GB/256SSD+1TB N580VD-E4622.

Edit: I found a solution to this problem. It is a bit uncomfortable, but it works.

During the game I had to turn off and turn on the HDMI UHD Color Mode again.

Then the resolution is Full HD, 60 Hz and everything runs smoothly

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop's motherboard. I would also ask you to pass on the SKU for your Asus Vivobook in order for us to understand if you've got a discrete GPU or if you're powering off the iGPU.
