does 100fps in 144hz monitor is worst than 60fps in 60hz monitor?

Hello, i have a problem since 2018/2/2 , wich is having lag/stuttering in 144hz monitor, " When my fps is under 120 " , I get a huge lag its feels like 30-50 fps, but when i play in 144fps or more the game feels smooth same as 144hz, idk what's wrong with my pc or my monitor, so that's why i asked this question because someone told me 60fps in 60hz monitor is better than 100fps in 144hz monitor

Even though you have a very powerful PC, maintaining 144 fps all the time is not an easy thing to do. Sometimes it may be a hardware issue, driver issue or just a poorly coded game. Either way, everything has to be set up just right to always hold peak speeds for 144 fps.

My advice, lower monitor to 120 Hz in windows AND in game settings. Holding 120 fps will be much easier to do and I personally do not see a difference when gaming @120 vs 144

Is your fps just going everywhere when this happens, or is it staying at a constant framerate? I mean it kind of just sounds like frame drops which happens during shooters or when a lot is happening on the screen.

The fps is around 100-170 , when the fps goes 90-120 the fps just start look like 10fps and then 80fps and then 10fps again so fast, i can't explain its just looks weird

Is there a game-mode or anything on the monitor that you can try turning on/off?
I mean I guess worst-case scenario you could always reach out to the manufacturer of your monitor and see if you can get a replacement or something.

Yes but i tried all mods and the problem still persist ( XL2411 )
