Does adding a new SATA SSD count as a hardware change in Windows 10?

If I add a new SATA SSD to my rig, will Windows 10 see that as a new hardware change and require re-authentication? I think I'm nearing the maximum amounts of hardware changes and I don't want to risk having to pay for another key.

Not to worry.
Windows tries to determine if it might be running on a different pc than was authorized.
It does this with a calculation of elements, the primary of which is the motherboard.

In the event that you exceed the limit, you will be asked to reauthorize.
That will not be a problem.
Normally, it is done via internet where you enter a string of numbers.
At the worst you might need a voice call to get it done.
The key question to answer is that this copy of windows is not used on any other pc.
