I have a Netgear A6210 network adapter, and an ASUS Maximus IX Hero motherboard.
I installed USB Device Tree Viewer for this testing. When I plug in the adapter, it shows up under Port 21 (which shows as USB 3.0) but a second later, it switches to Port 5 (which is USB 2.0)
During this same process, if I watch the plug in Device Settings, Windows 10 shows it as Connected to USB 3.0, but then a second later, changes to Device Will Perform Faster When Plugged Into USB 3.0.
Why is this port changing a second later?
I have the latest chipset for my motherboard, and also made sure all the drivers were updated in Device Manager under USB. I even turned off the power management setting for the USB devices, too.
Any ideas? Thanks!
