Cant update windows 10.

So i have recently seen that my disk usage gets ramped up to 100% at times at its "System local host(2)" , Windows Update and "Windows modular installer worker" thats causing it so im trying to update my whole system.

Come to find out i cant even update my machine. i get this error and it remains on "Initializing"

Would buying a brand new SSD/HDD more than likely fix this problem?

Only if your harddrive was damaged. Have you run a scan to see? The error doesn't suggest a bad drive though.

Try this updated Servicing Stack Update: (2nd one down is for 64-bit)

If that doesn't work, see if you can update your .NET runtime then try the windows update again (after rebooting of course)

Thanks. The service stack allowed me to update windows finally!
