1440p 144hz or 1080p 165hz for a GTX 1070?

Hello guys, i have had my MSI Gaming X 1070 for a while now, i'm looking at getting either msi's AG32QC (1440p 144hz) or AG32C (1080p 165hz), originally i wanted the 1440p monitor, but after some research i found quite a few people saying that there 1070 isn't enough for it and going down to 1080p on a 1440p monitor is blurry. so i wanted someones opinion on my situation, which should i get?

If AAA titles, yes, 1070 not powerful enough for 1440p 144hz
I will get 1080p 144+hz myself.

Yeah, i tend to play most AAA games from Battlefield 1 to rise of the tomb raider, so yeah, considering upgrading to vega 64 so i can use the montitors freesync.
