Monitor not displaying 144hz

I bought an AOC g2460pf a while ago and have since upgraded, I have my main PC with the new monitor, but I am trying to connect the AOC to a spare PC, unfortunately, it has a 1050ti (so the Freesync obviously won't work) it also isn't outputting 144hz (in the display settings and Nvidia control panel) but surely it should still run at 144 even though I can't take advantage of the Freesync, thanks for the help

Are you using display port or DVI? Only those two interfaces support 144hz on that monitor.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that I was actually using HDMI 2 so I will get back to you (I just assumed that it could as I thought that it just had to HDMI 1.3 or higher)
