My workstation is running an onboard Intel graphics chipset paired with an old Dell LED. Since, a couple of days I am getting some weird artifacts when the computer is woken from sleep. They disappear when I power cycle the LED and the display becomes usable again.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Is it a chipset issue or the LED is kaput?
