Xbox One S performance

Hi all,
My son likes playing Rocket League and Fortnite with a controller on the pc. I was thinking of buying him a console for Christmas, so he can play those 2 games.
Do these games run smooth on the xbox one s? I’m thinking about the s because I can get it for about 200 euros, thanks.

Any game that runs on Xbox one will still play 100% fine. You just won’t have the advantages of the more powerful model

Thanks. I asked because I read somewhere that rocket league had some stuttering and frame drops issues on the ps4 (non pro) some time ago and wanted to know whether they were addressed and fixed or not.

I own both and I’ve never seen stuttering in any game on either console ever. In shadows of Mordor when so many guys are on the battlefield sometimes things slow down just a little bit but it doesn’t stutter
