Ryzen 5 2600 memory

i'm looking to buy this Ryzen 5 CPU in the upcoming month. The official specs suggests it supports 2 channel 2933MHz. I don't want to overclock RAM( don't need their buggy overclocking), i just need to know can i run 4 8 gigs ram at 2933MHz in quad channel?

It will depend on the motherboard and the RAM. Check chosen motherboard's QVL.

Edit: To my knowledge, Ryzen runs with dual channel RAM. I presume you mean four sticks in dual channel (same answer above applies).

Ryzen does not support Quad channel memory. 4 sticks of 8gb = 2 sets of 16gb running in dual channel.

If you’re buying a Ryzen 2600 I do not think you’re going to need more than 16gb of ram. I’d go for a nice 3000mhz 2x8gb kit.

Do make sure to enable the 3000mhz profile on whatever kit you do wind up with.

I'll be going for the b450 chipset,
Since I don't think I need the overclocking powers from the x470s.
Coming back to the question. So I can use either 2*16 or 2*8 right?
PS: I need RAM because I do a lot of Adobe premiere editing ( all though this isn't an ideal work station build I know, but without the memory I can't even edit my files)

You can use 4x8 2x16 or just 2x8. It will all have the same speed as far as dual channel vs single channel goes.

So if you want 32gb get whatever is cheaper 4x8 or 2x16.
