Looking for help for a display issue

So I recently just bought new hardware these are the specs

Amd ryzen 3 2200g
Msi gaming plus x370
8gb DDR4 hyperx fury 2666mhz
Thermaltake 500w
GTX 1060 3gb galax factory oc

So I've plugged in everything in place, I've tried to looking for errors. The issue is I plugged in the HDMI on the GPU and there is no display, so it thought maybe the GPU slot was broken so I tried another one and it still didn't work. So maybe it's the GPU that might be causing the display issue. so I tried plugging into the motherboard HDMI and it still didn't work. So I'm suspecting that the display cables are broken so I ordered new ones. Maybe anyone had the same problem I need help pls

Read through thoroughly, don't skip steps.


Looking at your specs though your issue is probably the motherboard as the BIOS needs to be updated to use that CPU, 90% sure that's your issue. Just return it and buy a B450 motherboard.

But it won't even display anything

How do I update the bios? It sounds abit lame.
Anyways, why update bios? The motherboard was made for ryzen anyways.
