Does someone have experience with those components? I want to pair the gtx 1070 ti with a widescreen WQHD Monitor with 120hz. I mostly want to achieve about 60 fps or more on most titles on high to ultra settings. Or would a 27 inch monitor with 1440p and 144hz be a wiser choice for this graphics card?

Solution
Depends on the game. The most recent game I played was BF5 used the medium preset and got about 70-80fps average depending on the map and whats going on, no stuttering or anything like that. I can play on high too but it runs ore around 50fps then. GTA V I have a lot of mixed settings mostly high, runs great near 100fps with my settings. Witcher 3 mix of high and medium, no hairworks, I get 60-80fps depending on where I am.

An ultra wide at 3440x1440 is a bit harder to run than 16:9 at 2560x1440. A 2070 or 1080 might be the better choice at that resolution.

I have a 1060 6gb paired with a 1440p monitor and I can hit 60fps or more in most games at the proper settings. So yes a 1070 ti will get you at least 60fps with good settings in most games at 1440p assuming you pair it with an adequate CPU. The difference between 120hz and 144hz is not perceptible to me personally. However most 1440p gaming monitors are at least 144hz. What monitors are you looking at?

I'm looking for a widescreen wqhd monitor, like the predator x34p. I forgot to mention this in the title, my bad. Good to hear, that even the gtx 1060 can handle 1440p, could you tell me the exact settings for most titles, for example are you using medium to high, or even ultra settings for the games?
