I'm upgrading my motherboard to a MSI B350 Pc Mate. I'm worried that some of my drivers will be corrupted when i upgrade it, or I will lose some stuff. Will this happen, and how can i prevent it?

Solution

Changing from what?

Generally, with a new motherboard, a clean install is strongly recommended, often required.

There are 3 possible outcomes:
1. It boots up just fine
2. It fails completely
3. It boots up, but you're chasing issues for weeks.

The only "prevention" is "preparation" for that full wipe and reinstall.

Secondly:
For the OS activation, read and do this before you change any parts:

Solution

As far as the device drivers, those will need to be updated following the fresh install of Windows. Applications will also need to be reinstalled.
