I have a laptop that used to have Win7 and then got updated to Win10. Ever since this update, the Chrome started to use waaaay too much CPU. My CPU is running 90-100% while my RAM is around 35%

My current config is:
Win10
8GB RAM
AMD E-450

I read other posts on this issue; disabled anything whatever I could disable and nothing appears to work. Anyone, was successful in solving this problem?

Solution
Try using the chrome task manager (its built into chrome) to see whats using all the resources - https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2018/03/use-google-chromes-task-manager-to-figure-out-whats-slowing-down-your-browsing/

click on the arrow next to chrome in task manager, is it something called Software repair tool? I generally just right click and end task, not sure what it thinks its doing. Have you tried updating chrome? how many add ons do you use?

I may try this too, but I would like to get to the root of the problem rather than pushing everything under the table so to speak.

there is no Software Repair tool that I can see. My chrome is the latest version. I have all extensions/addons disabled.
When I start the chrome (1 window/1tab) I see eight separate threads in task manager. Is this normal?
