Asus VG248QE 144hz Capability with 2080ti

I have an Asus VG248QE which as far as I understand is only 144hz compatible if using a DVI cable (capped at 60hz with HDMI cable)

My dilema is that I want to upgrade from a 1060 to a 2080ti but the 2080ti doesn't have a DVI port. Would I still be able to use the 144hz capability of my monitor if I use a converter? DVI to Display port maybe?

Yes. I use the displayport on mine.
