Hi
Im encountering some FPS drops when i play games, i have no idea what it could be, the temperatur of my CPU is around 50 degrees solid. and my GPU is aroudn 35.
My specs are
Asus ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING
Intel Core i7 9700K - 3.6 GHz
ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 ROG STRIX OC
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO 16 gb
Corsair Cooling Hydro H80i V2
Corsair Graphite 760T Big Tower
Cooler Master V850, 850W PSU
ASUS ROG PG258Q on DP, with 240 hertz.

Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks in advance

What is your GPU and CPU usage at? Are you using any Vsync or framerate lock or anything like that? If you do you want to set the power management mode to prefer maximum performance in nvidia control panel. Otherwise when something instense is happening and your framerate drops the gpu will take some time to start working again because it can rest when you tell it to not render as much frames as possible all the time.

My usage lies around 20% on the CPU and 30-40 on the CPU.
I tried out using G-sync but together with 240 hertz it dropped my fps waaay to much, so im just running 240 hertz. tho i also have the frame drop problems at 144 hertz.
and my power management is already at max.

I dont know if you have a waaaay too good computer but the CPU and GPU usage should not be that low when gaming, both of mine is at 90-100%. What game(s) do you play?

I jsut booted up The Witcher 3, i can run that on Ultra with 120 fps average, and my load is at 99%.
But games like LOL drops frames randomly. Could this be due to it being installed on a Harddrive? (note both games are on the same drive)
