Memory: 4GB of Kingston HyperX PC3-10700
GPU: Geforce GT 430 DDR3
Motherboard: Biostar G41D3
No CD drive
HDD:Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Old Packard case
PSU: http://goo.gl/ezEpu

Thanks.

Oh, if you're going ask what kind of software she's using, I don't know. I did look at her old computer and even I know it's not as fast as mine. She said it ran perfect on her computer. She's not into gaming or anything like that.

Well its a dated CPU (though still decent), bottom end dated GPU, no CD drive for a non power user = ballache, crap motherboard, ok HDD, crumby case (im guessing with a big ass hole where the CD drive once was) and a PSU that is really only worthwhile as a doorstop, average CPU cooler.

£150 tops. If it had a CD drive and a decent case as appearance is worth alot when selling things maybe more.

*EDIT* - That price assumes it has a legit working copy of Windows.... if it doesnt then its only real value is stripped down and sold for parts

Thanks, lads. That's all I needed know. I'm going change the case to something more eye candyish and a disk drive.

£300 sterling, you would get more if you broke it down and sold it as parts.

An OS doesnt so much add value as make the thing sellable a 2nd hand rig with no OS loses the majority of its value so what version of windows you have is irrelevent really.

I agree with Uther £300 tops though you would likely do better stripping it down and flogging the parts

Yeah that's interesting thanks for the info everyone. It just shows how my PC has lost value, all the parts cost me ~ £800, I built it February 2011. Should have used Sandy Bridge; but I was kind of new to the whole hardware scene and was all bedazzled by 6 cores lol.

GTX 460 is getting kinda old now too, I'm gonna upgrade to a 670 soon or a 660ti depending on how it stacks against the 670.

You dont need to sell your PC as that OCd 1090t CPU is Still a good unit and has at least another 2 years life in it, the gpu upgrade is the way to go, and i reckon the 660ti is gonna be a corker.

I reckon you can push that 1090t to 4ghz on your cooler easily, and at that speed it makes a more than capable gaming cpu.

BF3 loves the 6 core phenoms.
