Hello there,

I have been wanting to build a decent PC but the problem is i do not know a lot, i have been doing some research (the majority on this site) and i have a ruff idea for what i am looking at.

I have already brought a monitor and mouse and key bored ETC so don't need to worry about them.

Id change out the power supply for something with a better reputation. But i notice you are below your budget so you have room for a better power supply. Also try ebuyer you may find their pricing better.

What would be a decent overclock for the CPU with the CPU Cooler would 4.3GHz be a safe overclock?

Also would this moBo any good?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-P8Z68-V-LX-Motherboard-Luc...

and the GTX670 sounds promising but would it not bottleneck with the CPU should i upgrade to a i7?

It won't bottleneck it will let you hit your goal of maxing out games 4.3 is a possible OC with that CPU yes exactly how far you can go depends on the CPU no 1 is identical, personally I would get this cooler though similar performance at half the price

same mobo cheaper. look around CCL, scan and aria I think you will find your total cheaper on those sites than amazon.

i actually can not find any review on that Palit GTX 670 that is not the JetStream right?
May 16, 2012 3:59:58 PM

As the cards have been out for 6 days there aren't a mountain of specific vendor reviews yet.... they are all mostly reference design though so its unlikely 1 is much better than another maker.

Oh right thanks didn't no that

The build i posted above will better suit your needs and for longer, the palit gtx670 is basicaly an nvidia ref card re stickered so will perform exactly the same as the 670 reviewed here on toms site..

I still don't get why you want to pay £11 more for a 2500k over a 3570k especially as you have said you only want a modest over-clock. You can easily boost a 3570k to the same performance levels as a 2500k @ 4.3ghz quite possibly without even increasing the voltage.

I'd get Radeon 7870 or 7850 AsusDIRECTCUII and you can overclock to 7950/580 stock.
