Hello

This is my first post on this forum I have already read a few threads but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Basically I am looking to build a budget gaming PC my budgetis about £700 (about $1,100) and I only have a few preferences I will list those below.

Processor - Preferably intel i5
Graphics card - Hopefully a gtx 560 ti

So if anyone has a good build for less than £750 preferably with that GPU and CPU let me know.

Thanks in advance

Mac

I built this just over a month ago for a tad over £640. Parts from CCL. You could use your extra to get a 560ti instead of the 550 or maybe even a 560ti 448 if you can stretch that.

CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 960T (it unlocked to a 6 core)
http://www.cclonline.com/product/69146/HD96ZTWFGRBOX/CP...
GPU - PNY 550TI
http://www.cclonline.com/product/59644/GMGX55TN2H1IZPB/...
Mobo - Gigabyte 990FXA-D3
http://www.cclonline.com/product/75863/GA-990FXA-D3/Mot...
RAM- G.Skill NT 8GB DDR3 X2 (i needed 16GB)
http://www.cclonline.com/product/66091/F3-10600CL9D-8GB...
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB
http://www.cclonline.com/product/45601/WD5000AAKX/Hard-...
PSU - OCZ StealthXstream II 500W
http://www.cclonline.com/product/42176/OCZ500SXS2-UK/Po...
Case - Ikonik Taran A20 PC Tower Case (Its cheap and cheerful but seems to cool well)
http://www.cclonline.com/product/45729/CAS-6231/Cases/I...

Various other odds n sods bumped the price fans, optical drive etc, CPU cooler.

From playing with prices on that budget i really would recommend the AMD route, or the Intel route but then settle for a 550ti card instead. The 960T is a good job for its price and the £ saved there could go in to the graphics and/or a decent case.

*Edit to add*

My Bad if you dont plan to ever OC and dont mind cheaping out a bit on the Mobo (no SLI support) you can do the i5-2500 with most what i listed above + OEM Win7 & a 560ti for more or less bang on budget.

what they put is good... but if your not up for overclocking there is not point buying 2500k. if you dont want to overclock then use the 2500 (non K) and not buy a after market cooler.

As robin says, if you dont intend to OC then get the regular 2500 and stock cooler and with the money you save, purchase the 448 cored version of the 560ti.

Hah as if £700 is budget gaming territory. I got you a GTX 580 in this build but there are of course some caveats, i went into H61 so no overclocking but the board comes with a lot of bells and whistles anyway so you don't lose out. Also went microATX but i don't see that as an issue. Also only got 4Gb of RAM which was an unavoidable sacrifice to get the GTX 580 in. If you wanted something a little less mad you could go for a GTX 560 Ti and fit in a better case, 120GB SSD and 8GB of RAM but otherwise everything else would stay. Unless you want to overclock in which case you'll need Z68.
This also assumes you have a mouse, keyboard, monitor and speakers otherwise this is a whole different ball game.
