Is it important to go for D9 memory if you won´t OC ??

I´ve been checking different ram lists on the net.. and some seem to focus on the D9´s, but they also seem to point that the reason for this is that they are good OCers.

So... what if you don´t plan to OC the memory ? I just want a fast, good quality, low latency memory. Where should I look for ? Specific models are welcome as well as any tips...

This is my prototype build so you know what I´m looking for:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 2.4Ghz FSB 1066 8MB Box
Asus P5Q-E Socket 775
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 PRO Socket 775
A-Data Vitesta Extreme Edition PC2-6400 2x2GB 4-4-4-12
Western Digital WD6400AAKS 640 GB SATA300
Antec Nine Hundred
Corsair TX 650W
Sapphire HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E

I want DDR2-800, cos I think I don´t need more with this CPU. That specific memory its just one that looked nice, where i was cheking the prices of my build.

Thank you in advance.

You don't need d9's. Go with a brand name. I suggest Mushkin 800mhz. You don't ever need 1066mhz + cuz you're not overclocking and you won't ever go faster than 533mhz for ram. Defaul is half the cpu fsb. 1066 / 2.

However, I strongly suggest you get 4-8 gigs right now cuz the prices will be up.
