what is it with you and starting arguments?

There was a time, once upon a time in the days of yore, when we had numerous methods of preventing the posting of crap like "system for sale" or "I'd like to sell my Radeon Hingledoofer 30,005CTCXTCVR for $xxx.xx" to a section that was in no way indicated for such use, titled as it was 'Other Discussions'.

Of course, if someone DID want to, for arguments' sake, post a message like "system for sale" or "I've got a Maxtor DeLorean GTX1300KITT with the optional FAT-GIT port" then there was a separate section for such things to be posted in, I think it was called 'classifieds' or some such.

Of course, nowadays we have a section for anything and everything under the sun that doesn't quite fit in anywhere else here, titled 'General UK & Ireland Discussions' and another section which is purely there for cosmetic value so that we can say we have such a section, called 'Deals'. It's found at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html.

Of course, I don't know why anyone would want to post any good deals there, since the greatest deals can be found here under 'General UK & Ireland Discussions'.

And speaking of deals, I have a 1984 Audi B2 Quattro for sale, 231,058KM on the clock, engine was rebuilt completely with forged racing components about 2,500KM ago, using a Turbonetics KKK T-3.5 hybrid turbo, modified track/rally suspension, midnight blue, leather interior, and an enlarged 95 liter endurance tank.

I am willing to accept £31,500 for the car, given that it IS the classic quattro, excluding shipping, handling, and import/export fees.

My email is thisisnotthedealssection (at) tustultus.est.

There was a time, once upon a time in the days of yore, when we had numerous methods of preventing the posting of crap like: Not paying tax is cool... & Well, my personal stylist had to use a flamethrower, and that's just for starters...

Oh really?

It is a pity that this site has been completely raped, otherwise you would have left this section of the forum in a huge huff, due to the huge piles of abuse heaped upon you.

Now - 'not paying tax is cool' and 'my personal stylist using a flamethrower' fall under 'OTHER DISCUSSIONS', and since we do not post our crap up in the 'DEALS' section - which you can find if you follow the link that I kindly provided for your personal use at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html - we would take it very kindly if you refrain from posting your crap - which can be considered a 'DEAL' and not an 'OTHER DISCUSSION' - in a section that is not meant for such things.

Of course, I grant it can get a little confusing with the spam artists and their iPhone deals, but hey, that is why people are meant to actually USE the intelligence they spent aeons evolving - unless you are religious, in which case that is why people are meant to actually USE the intelligence God gave them.

Also, your continuing this thread by what can only be construed as an attack, and since you directly quoted TWO of MY posts from separate threads, and further did so OUT OF CONTEXT, it upgrades to 'personal attack'.

If you had actually taken those comments of mine IN THE CONTEXT of the threads they were posted in, they were topical, tied in with the rest of the discussion, and thus cannot be termed 'crap'. Your OP, which was an advert for what could loosely be termed a 'deal', was posted in completely the wrong section, and thus CAN be termed 'crap'.

OTHER DISCUSSIONS does NOT mean 'place the stuff you want to sell off here', there is a separate section for that at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html, appropriately titled 'DEALS'.

Otherwise, I could put it in simplistic terms that your limited intellect can comprehend, which is 'IF YOU WANT TO SELL SOMETHING, POST ADS IN THE APPROPRIATE SECTION' - which can be found by clicking on the blue section of text that looks like this, and the link is as follows: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html.

Besides, I do not know when you joined this forum, nor do I care, but if you had been a member BEFORE BestOfMedia took over, then you would know damn well that the forum titled 'OTHER' was where random stuff was discussed, stuff which had nothing to do with computers or people selling stuff they no longer wanted.

And finally, you lack a sense of humour, as well as everything else outlined, so you are not welcome here. Repost your OP in http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html and you will have a far greater chance of attracting people wanting to buy your stuff and a far lesser chance of people letting you know they want to stuff you into yourself and then commit unspeakable acts upon you.

And yes, I do want to stuff you into yourself and let the WingDing commit unspeakable acts upon you.

And by the way, you are probably one of them floons that has signatures turned off, so I will retype my sig so you can read and understand that you are one of the people to whom it refers: 'arguing with you is like beating myself over the head with a 16" black rubber double-headed dildo, only less erotic.'

And the reason why my sig applies to your kind of person is demonstrated by a) your response to possibly the ONLY helpful response in this entire thread - telling you where it IS appropriate to post advertising crap, and b) your quoting out of context and what can only be seen as personal attacks.

In order to prevent this in the future, please post any advertising of any 'deals' in the appropriate section which may be found by clicking on the link I helpfully provided: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html.

And if you have a problem with the quality of help you obtained in posting in the incorrect section, which is at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-40.html, then just understand that the people who normally reside (or rather, used to) in this section have no tolerance for idiocy, and idiocy can be exemplified by posting the wrong stuff in the wrong section. Which you did by posting an ad for a cooler master scout case in a section that is intended for people chatting about random stuff, instead of in the section dedicated to people posting ads for cooler master storms and other stuff, at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html.

While we are on the topic, the section intended for selling things can be found by clicking on the link http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html.

Or you can copy & paste http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html into your web browser URL bar and click 'go', hit <enter>, or (if you're using Google Chrome) by right-clicking in the URL bar and selecting 'Paste And Go'. It really is not that difficult.

There are plenty of other people also posting their 'deals' in http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html, so go check it out. Who knows, in http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html you might find a buyer for your CM Storm case.

If it makes you happy, I will not be able to post my ad for the quattro in http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html, because it's not related to computers in any way - I would either have to post it in the 'cars' sections, or on the Audiworld forums - which is where I went after they started letting crud like you into the Other, before obliterating the Other entirely - but I certainly would not go into the 'General Discussions' section up in Hardware and post it there. Nor would I have advertised my old HP 530 under the 'Other UK&Ireland Discussions', 'General Discussions' or 'Cars' sections, I would have kept it for the 'Deals' section where it belongs - which can be found at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-41.html - nor would I have posted it at Audiworld.

Also, in your response to my message, you made numerous errors:
'Mugz', being a name, is a PROPER NOUN, which is always capitalised on the first letter.
The two (out-of-context) quotes require QUOTE MARKS, which look like this: 'insert quote here'.
At least your spelling is decent, which is unusual. But since you're English (from the UK in your name, which should also be capitalised, in addition to the R in 'Robert' and the B in 'Banks') you really have no excuse to miss things like capitalisation and quote marks. English isn't even my first language (try my fourth) and even I do not make stupid mistakes like that, but then, it's a hard life growing up in a family where 99% is just not good enough.

And while we are on the personal attacks, you clearly do not have the faintest idea of how to navigate and/or use a bulletin board, even though they make it very clear what goes where, so I am wondering if you are even capable of tying your own shoelaces. The degree of literacy in your posts argues in favour, although your incapability to navigate to the correct section and your incredibly vicious response to having that pointed out argue more in favour of someone who is still in school, or at that level of maturity and intelligence. Hard to say which is worse, really.

Have a nice day.

I think my point stands proven. Think about it.

Now if you will excuse me, I am now going to go and get something for this headache.
