hi i was planning to change my mobo from intel dg33fb to asus mobo's

i need help in choosing the right mobo for me. I am stuck between asus p5kvm and p5nesli...??

d main difference i m stuck on is d chipset on d two mobo's. The chipset on kvm is Intel Bearlake G33 and on p5nesli is NVIDIA nForce® 650i SLI.......

For me kvm is more appropriate as i dnt intend to use sli option as 8600 gt 512 mb is good enough for me but i want to knoe d main diff between d two chipsets..... which one is for what...............???? i am goin to do overclockin and for gaming..... and d other features of kvm are more appropriate for me....................!!!!

thx for ur help in advance......!!!

unless you have already have those 8600's DON'T BUY THEM! a 9600 GT is 2 times as powerful as a 8600 GT, get 1 of those than sli it now or later. **** if anything get a 7950 GX2 like me on ebay or craigslist.com for $100. 7950 GX2 is strong enough to play crysis on High, so yeah a good deal there.

There are so many better options than 8600 man......8800 GT/GTS/GS/GTX 9600 GT 9800 GTX/GX2.

As for the mobo, get the sli for more well sli. Personally id get a cheap ECS mobo (not overclockable via bios but you need Ntune to overclock it), say some cash and put it in a better video card.

I beg to differ. A 7950 gx2 is not near strong enough to play crysis on high. You have got to be kidding me. haha

basically i already hav a 8600 gt as gs aint available here... n also lookin at cost effestive machine.

i preffer o.c. and will be applyin soon. as far as graphics is concerned i am not worried as sli or two grafix card is of no use to me.

as far as 9600 gt is concerned i have done my home work n in reality 8800 gt is a better performin graphics card dan 9600 gt though 8600 gt is double d price of 8600 gt that fulfills my need. my basic question is leavin all other peripherals of my computer d same i only want to change d mobo .

i m very confident abt asus p5kvm as all d features its providing is very much what i need only thing i have doubts abt is d chipset dats dg33 and d chipset on asus p5nesli is NVIDIA nForce® 650i SLI........

can somebody clear my doubts abt what a chipset does n wats d diff. between d two chipset..............!!!!!!!!!

and also what wud be d max power my cpu can consume with a configuration of e 4600 2.2 cpu, intel dg33fb mobo, xfx 8600 gt 512 mb, 3 case fans, one 120 mm fan, sony 20x dvd writer and 2 x seagate 160 gb 7200 rpm hard disk. < i need to find a good enuff smps\power supply unit dat can handle my cpu >
