Hi guys, would love some suggestions regarding a new build. My rubbish laptop has finally bitten the dust, and looking to buy a new custom build primarily for using AutoCAD, Revit and FEA (processor dependent) applications.

I have little to no interest in using it to play games.

Approximate Purchase Date: Ideally this week

Budget Range: £600 +-£50 including shipping, VAT and any rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: AutoCAD/FEA, Surfing the Internet

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: New build

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: UK based ones only, including Ebay

Location: UK, London

Parts Preferences: Whatever is recommended

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Not Sure

Your Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050

Additional Comments: Not concerned with case/how it looks. Would like a motherboard which has capacity to upgrade components in future if possible. Much more concerned with having a solid processor than a decent GPU. Not too bothered with it being quiet.

Any suggestions would be great. I've had a look at the stickied threads which have suitable builds which are excellent, but I'm unsure whether or not I could get a bit of extra bang for my buck because of what I'm using the PC for instead of games.

Many thanks for any suggestions : ))
