£1200 for a photo editing computer

hey,
I am building a Photo editing computer, for work, no gaming will be done on it, im using it for mainly retouching High res photos with cs6.
i have a budget of £1200 for hardware, hoping for some £££ left over to invest in a graphics tablet.

I just finished building a computer to be used for Photoshop (and work, no gaming). I use CS5 but the system will work equally well for CS6 when I upgrade. The system is very quiet, and really fast. The total cost was $US 1300. The final parts list I used is near the end of this discussion, but throughout the discussion a number of people made very useful points.
