Building because i want something to play games on without getting lags and so on...

(£145) CPU: i5 - 3470 3.2 GHz 6mb cache socket 1155
(£120) MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX 1155 or (£100) ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 1155?
(£180) GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7870 2GB
(£31) RAM: G.skill Ripjaws 2x4GB DDR3 1600
(£41) HDD: Seagate barracuda 500GB 3.5 7200RPM
(£70) OS: Windows 7 64bit
(£13) Drive: LG GH24NS90.AUAA50B 24x SATA Bare Internal DVD Rewriter - Black
(£30) Case: Xigmatek Asgard Midi Tower Case - Black
PSU: 550W But i dont know what make i should buy, any suggestions?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
£630 I think the power supply will cost around £50 so £680...

Is this build good for gaming?
£680 for a pc is alot for me, expecially since im only 17 and im putting all of my money i have in it.
Which mother board is better? i cant see a difference and the ASRock is cheaper which would suit me better.
Thanks for your time!

Well seeing you're getting a non k i5 you could get a much cheaper h77 motherboard but if you plan to someday add a second gpu for a crossfire setup then get the extreme4. If you do get a second gpu you'll also have to get a 750w psu later. If you don't plan to add a second gpu get this mobo asrock h77m http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007OCJWTM/?tag=pcp0f-21

Someone has told me to get thiss mobo but its microATX :/  I want an atx case and if i get a microATX board its gonna look empty inside, im really tempted to get it because its £60 less which is great, what do you think? if i have it for now as a begginer, and lets say i want to upgrade after a year to get another gpu or what not... or will it be a waste of £60 when i can get an ATX mobo now? and btw do you think the processor and this microatx mobo will be fast when i start using my pc? last thing i want is buy a cheap mobo with a processor someone recommended to me and have a *** computer. And im not good with computer parts just yet so want to make sure. Thanks

The cpu would be just as good on the h77 or z77 mobo but it's probably not worth only getting it for a year or so. Here's a good mobo that's less than the asrock z77 extreme4 and will let you add a second gpu later for a good crossfire setup msi z77a-g45 http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007JRGVUA/?tag=pcp0f-21
The msi mobo is cheaper at scan.co.uk but I don't think it's in stock now http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-z77a-g45-intel-z77-s...(x16)-d-sub-dvi-d-hdmi-atx
