Repost with a fancier title for people who love a cash title.
So, I'm going to build it in three parts so I'm not waiting forever, I already have a case, fans and an OS and want to use the AMD platform as my last PC was Intel but am open to changes on the other items. I will be OCing everything as much as I can but I want most of the parts to last. I am using the SSD as a boot disk the the 2 x 1TB drives in RAID 0. if you need more info just ask :-)

Can you spend more on the CPU?

Can you spend about $200 on the pc and instead get the amd radeon 7870 better value for your money.

I'd rather not spend any more money but am open to suggestions, the HD7870 isn't better value for money due to the massive drop in cores and isn't powerful enough for 3x1080p screens.

I might Crossfirex in the future and also upgrade to more ram and AMDs next Chips as they're on the same platform.

Neither is your CPU powerful enough to run all of that on 3 screens id advise going for the intel i5 2500k or i5 3570k but amd fx 6100 is not powerful and doesnt OC as well as the k series i5's

It's the 6300 which is about 15% more powerful because it's piledriver, either way I want AMD because I like to alternate between builds

What do you plan on using the pc for?

then i would wait until the processor actually comes out and look at the benchmarks before making your final decision though because i doubt that the AMD Fx 6300 will perform better than the intel i5 3570k or even the intel i5 2500k

I think he's stated that he wants to stick with all AMD.

I know it won't be better than an i5 but it will be cheap and the piledriver is proven to be 15% more than bulldozer making it a more than reasonable option, I only want to OC it to around 4.2ghz which I know will be achievable.
