I am currently trying to put a hardware list together for a £550 build.

The hardware that I will be using so far:

I would love some input, and mostly I need a good motherboard to complete the build.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Cheers

Get the pro 4
Power supply sucks. Get a good brand like seasonic 80+ or antec
Case looks cheap, try cooler master haf 912
Ssd get mushkin cronos deluxe,ocz vertex3,corsair force gt,Kingston hyper x,patriot wildfire/Pyro or Samsung 830.
Get the ivy bridge i5 3450 for about the same price

OCZ's "3" series e.g. vertex 3 and agility 3 have had high return rates which is why you would want to avoid them.

I've never had such tough luck. Better safe than sorry then.

If i were you i would drop the cooler, TIM, static wrist strap and SATA cable as you need none of them and you'll save about £23.

As suggested change your CPU to the i5 3450
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-FC-LGA12C-i5-3450-Process...

and get this motherboard (GB B75 D3V):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-GA-B75M-D3V-SKT-1155-B...

this GPU (HD 6950):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-Radeon-Graphics-Dual-DVI-Di...

This case (Cit Vantage):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/CiT-Vantage-Gaming-Audio-Reader...

Thsi powersupply (XFX 550W):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-P1-550S-XXB9-PRO550W-Editio...

This set of RAM (Crucial 8GB):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006YG94Y2/ref=ox_sc...

and keep the DVDRW, SSD and wireless.

This will get you a build that costs £577.20, and has a heftier GPU.
