Hey, can you help me with this new build and tell me how it will run and what kind of fps i can expect on the games I want to run. I built a budget PC in 08 but it is massivley outdated and experiencing problems so I am looking to build a new rig to play primarily guild wars 2 and diablo 3 at good fps and at fairly high settings. I am a noob again with all this stuff so help is appreciated. I will probably get someone to help me put the machine together when I have all the parts.

If it's gaming I think I would dump that whole build - don't expect to play the latest games like BF3 and expect to get any sort of decent framerates with it. Try something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor (£89.80 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard (£73.99 @ Dabs)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£42.00 @ CCL Computers)
Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£65.87 @ Ebuyer)
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB Video Card (£122.36 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Mid Tower Case (£37.98 @ Novatech)
Power Supply: Corsair 600W ATX12V Power Supply (£53.52 @ Ebuyer)
Optical Drive: Lite-On DS-8A8SH DVD/CD Writer (£19.30 @ CCL Computers)
Total: £504.82
(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.)

How well will diablo 3 and guild wars 2 run on thet build and is there any chance you can lower the price to around £450 including the OS?

Thanks for the help :)

It'll definitely run better than on the AMD build but I'm not entirely sure if there's anywhere you can really cut corners on it without sacrificing performance.

this brings it down to £473 with the OS using a lesser GPU (better than your original GTX 550, but not quite as strong as the HD 6870 in g-unit's build). all the items come from Dab's except the OS. I think Amazon has the CPU for a £ less.

it will rock D3 and Guild wars too.
