Best Components For £550 Gaming Rig

So I'm building a PC this Christmas and I wanna look into all the parts before then so I have loads of time to tweak. I would like to know what the best compatible parts I can get for up to £550 inc. windows 7 home premium too. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I would prefer something small-form like a LAN rig etc.

Any Ideas?

If you're not going to build until Christmas - come back then because there should be new chipsets, CPUs (Ivy Bridge i3's should be out then), and the lower end Keppler cards should also be out then.
