Hello, I'm upgrading my system in a few weeks, And I would like to know what you would think I could get to make this a good gaming system, Right now it is far from it with the following specs:

AMD FX 4100 3.8Ghz
8GB RAM 1333Mhz
Gigabyte M68MT-S2
ATI Radeon HD 5450
SAMSUNG HD103SI 1TB HDD

I was thinking I could buy the ATI Radeon 6870 & Asus M5A97 PRO AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) Motherboard. The PSU Does not need to be upgraded, I got that covered, Is there a better upgrade scheme I could have? To make a solid Gaming rig?

Yeah I think they're the things you'd want to change. You could get away with just doing you're graphics card though.

Buy a 6850 and a z68 mobo, then when you get some more cash, buy an i5 2500k
the bulldozer chips are terrible for gaming

There would be no point in buying a Z68 mobo now and the CPU later.

They aren't terrible just not as good as Intels, seeing as he already has it though may as well keep it.

Thank you for the info! IF I decide to only upgrade my Graphics card, What would you recommend? The 6970? 6950? Or a Nvidia Card?

If you are going to spend the whole £200 on a graphics card i'd say the AMD HD 7850 is the best bet, e.g.

For £150 you could get a GTX 560 Ti:

You should check around though as you may find bargains i may have missed. If you wanted you can look at places lie ebay and gumtree to find used parts (most of my bits came from those 2) and you'll get pretty good deals but they come with risks. As an example on ebay i regularly see GTX 580's go for around £200 and that's an incredible price for them.
