£1000 ($1600) Gaming Computer

Hi, I'm looking to build a new PC for gaming. This is my first build, so I was hoping to get some opinions and criticism about if the parts will work together and if I should be buying different components. I also must apologize if some of the conversions between GBP and USD are incorrect. I am currently going with:

Motherboard- Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H

CPU- Intel i5 3550

Hard Drive- Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to spend more than £90 ($142) and I want more than 1tb

RAM- Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R

Graphics- GV-R795WF-3GB

Power Supply- Antec CP-850

Case- Antec DF-85

Disk Drive- Samsung SH-222AB

As I said, this is my first build so any ideas on would be great. I don't want to spend too much more though

  2. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely be doing a redesign. But I was looking for a motherboard with the added audio jacks ( My headphones use the green, pink, black and orange ones- Sorry I don't know what the actual terms for these are) Do you have any suggestions?
  3. Is the Nvidia 670 much better than the Radeon 7950 3GB? From what I can tell it's generally more expensive but I'm not sure how that translates to actual performance
  4. Also I was thinking of upgrading the processor from an i5 to an i7, but I'm not sure if an i7 will make much of a performance difference when compared to the price difference.
  5. Yes, it is.
Only in Crysis is the 7950 better.
  6. A GTX 670 isn't that much more expensive and does give better frames in general.

No the i7 will give no tangible gains for gaming
  7. Thanks for all of the help, you've saved me quite a bit of money there
