Hi. Thanks so much for looking this over guys. New build for a photoshop machine for a friend. They mostly work on comics , so by no means would it be a 'monster digital painting machine'. My current rough build is below but i have not built in a while so i would feel a lot better with the wisdom of an experienced crowd looking at it.

Approximate Purchase Date: This week.

Budget Range: 500 -550 pounds sterling

System Usage from Most to Least Important: photoshop, light video processing work.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: www.dabs.com

Country: UK

Parts Preferences: Preference on reliability.

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: Reusing monitor.

Currently selected build.

This is the build i have put together. More than anything else what i would love to have is people just quickly look over the parts list for compatibility. It has been 5-6 years since i built a machine, so i would feel much better to have currently experiences eyes and minds look over it for solidity and compatibility.

Graphics are not a big concern, as the friend using the machine only games on their ps3. Because of that i felt it was fine to go with the integrated processor graphics on the ivybridge, but the idea of on processor graphics is new to me, so i just want to make sure that the motherboard is compatible with it and the ram etc.

If people have the time, i am more than open to suggested changes to the build, or a totally different build so long as it sticks to a maximum ceiling of 550 sterling.

I would be recommending she buy a second hdd for photoshop scratch disc and another 8 gigs of ram down the line, but if you can find a way to get 2 drives in with a total of 1tb space and total 16 gb of ram without compromising the overall quality too much that would be awesome.

Again, thansk so much to anyone who can look it over.

An alternate build that sacrifices a little mobo and processor budget for a second hard drive to keep photoshops scratchdisc on.

Graphics in both cases would be provided by reusing this card from her previous machine, as 3d graphics are not a big deal for this build as it will be used for 0 gaming.

If i can just find out if either of these machines are ok in principal i would be really happy. :)
