Is this system a good build, any weak or unnecessary parts? Also what other cables or connectors (if any) do I need.

Build looks pretty good. I'd suggest looking on aria.co.uk, i find they have the best prices.

A few changes i'd make:

Firstly don't get the 212 EVO, at £30 it's ridiculously overpriced, time was it was £15. If you look on aria it's a bit of a limited selection but the Corsair A50 should do the trick.

I'd go with an AMD 7950 at your budget rather than 580, if you can hold fire for Nvidias Kepler i would.

The PSU is a bit expensive, i'd go for the Corsair HX series myself, a little cheaper. I think 750W should be fine if you decide to SLI

I would also be thinking about an 128GB SSD and 500GB HDD in this build. I think it's the best combo atm for high end builds.

Otherwise it's a good build

Thanks for the advice, I did think about waiting for the 680, or the GTX 580 price drop when it releases. Is there a release date for the Kepler yet? or just rumours?

I will be waiting till the 22nd to have a look at the 680 release date, if it's soon I will wait.

Also do I need any other cables or extras?
