Approximate Purchase Date: 1-4 weeks

Budget Range: £400-550 GBP

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Want to play the latest games on decent settings, light video editing, coding/compiling software

Parts Not Required: Speakers, OS, HDD, DVD Burner

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: aria.co.uk or amazon.co.uk

Country: UK

Parts Preferences: I would like an i5 build but I realise that this might not be possible with such a small budget so would go with AMD if I would get a better system, I would also like a reasonable size monitor...

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: Any to be honest but the bigger the better!

Additional Comments: Don't want to have to upgrade for quite a while...

the cpu he suggested is ok but expensive
if u want a cheeper cpu, buy this one:
Intel Core i3 2130
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Processor-Socket-Sandy-Bridge/dp/B005JBPROY/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1330007384&sr=1-1

the mobo he suggests is rubbish, dont buy it (btw: try NOT to buy any asrock)
better (but more expensive): ASUS 1155 P8H67
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-1155-P8H67-REV-3-0/dp/B004O9WSYY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1330006349&sr=8-2

i would NOT choose the graphics card he suggests
buy this ASUS card or buy an equal EVGA card
Asus nVIDIA GeForce GTX 550ti
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-GeForce-TI-DirectCu-Graphics/dp/B004RHPN2M/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1330006721&sr=1-2

i don't know annything about the rest but it's probably ok

Would you suggest a amd build and get a better gfx card?

No, if you wanted to save money go for a cheaper intel cpu. an i3 2100 and a 560 Ti is possible.

It's very good but fairly expensive, an i3 2100 can be had for £90

Rubbish? Nothing wrong with Asrock, they are after all the budget arm of ASUS.

MSI is a great Graphics card manufacturer

If you want, a bit of a wait (April) until they are released. Sandy Bridge is likely to become cheaper nearer the launch date.
