£800-£900 gaming computer

I'm looking to build my own pc in the next couple of months and have a budget of around £800-£900 for a rig that includes windows 7 and a monitor.I have no real ideas on parts compatibility and how much power is needed and i'm looking at a high i5 or i7 and a amd 6950,8 gig of ram,a 2tb hard drive(no raid)and would like to know if i can get a full rig with thoose kind of components in budget.Thanks for any help and sorry about my lack of knowledge as i've never built or even had a high end pc before
