Interesting build but i don't think it's that great.

I;d make a few changes:

Intel i5 2300 £140

Xigmatek Asgard £26
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Cases/MIDI+Tower/Xigmatek+Asgard+Black+Midi+Tower+Chassis+?productId=38515

Total cost (VAT and P&P) £503.20

To back up my choices i'll briefly explain.

CPU- Good solid choice, there's very little to separate the i5 models from each other (only a few 100MHz0 apart from the 2500k which you can't afford.

MB - Looks like it'd have everything you'd need.

RAM - Good set of RAM nice speeds and latency.

GPU - Will keep you gaming very well upto 1680 x 1050, after that you'll ahve to turn down settings from max.

HDD - Cheapest HDD i can find on Aria, as prices are crazy at the minute no point buying more.

PSU - Very solid PSU, built by Seasonic, pretty much the best PSU manufacturer.

Case - Well it's always hard to chose a case for a cheap price but i think it'd be ok.

I'd go better than the 550 from Smith697.

Metal's builds are usually good, as this is, but I suspect he works for Aria ;)

I'd suggest you also look at ebuyer, ccl and amazon. Personally I'm happy to buy from multiple outlets as long as they are reputable, best value and I don't pay delivery.

I have the Asgard case and it's generally fine but the back panel is a little flimsy. To get the pre-formed blanking plates out easily, put a screwdriver in the slot and peel like opening a sardine tin.

I wish i did work for Aria, might get commission or something.

Other sites to look at are DABS and SCAN, and of course eBay (although care must be taken)

There's no real need for Z68, unless you plan on using the integrated GPU or SSD caching features. 2500k is worth the extra only if you plan to Overclock it which will require an aftermarket heatsink, total extra cost will be about £50. Your call really.

You may want to consider the i5 series as it's quad core rather than dual core which will help in games. However it is £40 extra which is quite abit more.
