Hi. This is my first time building every thing from scratch and just wanted to run my choices over others first.

Approximate Purchase Date: next week or a week later (09/01/12 - 20/01/12).

Budget Range: around £900.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, doing work using office, surfing the net.

Parts Not Required: nothing, its from scratch.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any trustworthy site that can deliver to england.

Country: UK, England, London.

Parts Preferences: intel cpu and good graphics.

Overclocking: Yes but at a later date.

SLI or Crossfire: no.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 is preferred but 1680x1050 is ok if it is better.

Additional Comments: im not crazy for looks but i do want good quality that is also within my budget.

I need help mainly with the monitor, it seems a great deal but im not sure of this. I just need some tips on whether there are alternative options for me to choose from.

Looks pretty solid but a few points i'd make are:

Have you considered postage costs, as you've planned to purchase from over 6 different stores. You should look at aria.net, scan.co.uk and ebuyer.com. Might be better for you.

You don't seem to have budgeted a copy of windows 7, which will be at least £70

As for the screen i use these 2 sites for recommendations:
