Hi guys, looking to build a Micro ATX system (or an ATX system that doesn't exceed 46cm in height due to desk restrictions).
I'm not a big PC gamer but would like something relatively future proof, usually the graphics card is something I tend to cheap out on but have set a budget of around £75 to £115 for it this time which I'm hoping will be more than adequate for my needs (media centre, graphics design, maybe some occasional gaming).
Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP.
Budget Range: Approx. £600 but can go over if necessary.
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Graphics/web design, Internet surfing, media centre, gaming
Parts Not Required: Monitor (24" LCD Full HD), speakers, keyboard, mouse, Power Supply (Trendsonic Eye-T 650w Modular), HDD's (2 x 2tb hard drives), 3 x 120mm Nexus"Real Silent Case Fans".
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: eBuyer.com, Amazon.co.uk, Scan.co.uk, Dabs.com, Other established UK sites
Country: United Kingdom
Parts Preferences: by brand or type: Would prefer an Intel build, and I usually go for Asus motherboards, but open to suggestions.
Overclocking: Yes
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: I also have a projector hooked up to my current machine (1920x1082) which is used for the majority of the media viewing (XBMC, via Xbox as Media Extender, Liveonlinefooty etc.). Will need graphics card capable of handling 2 displays. Looking to build a fairly quiet PC, not interested in anything flashy looking. I'm going to need to purchase another PSU to put in my old PC to sell it on, so I'm open to upgrading my current PSU if it's necessary.
Here's what I have put together so far, any alternatives or suggestions welcome:
