I am looking for a computer to have by the end of this year to run games like Star Wars: The Old Republic, Skyrim and Battlefield 3 all on Ultra-Settings.

Currently I have these parts in mind for getting and I'm just looking for some feedback, positive or negative!

So here is the parts so far:

Ram: Corsair Vengence 8GB
Processor: i5-2500k Overclocked to 4.5GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 560TI 1G
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67X-UD3-B3
Case: Cooler Master RC-430-KWN1 Elite 430 Midi Tower
PSU: Corsair CX500V2

If there any parts I have forgotten to write here or parts you think I could improve on or even if you think it is a good enough Rig, please tell me so!

Thank you :D

Looks OK to me. Personally I would get Vengeance LP and a Z68 board though.

Thank you both so far, is that the only change I should make and you feel the rest of the machine is pretty good?

To save some money the radeon HD 6870 preforms fairly close to the 560 ti. Im sure if you overclocked it could be just as good =P
May not want to cheap out your PSU maybe go for the Corsair enthusiast series TX650?

So i suggest this

Mobo- ASRock Z68 extreme3 Gen3
CPU- i5-2500K
GPU- Radeon HD 6870
RAM- Corsair Vengeance 8GB
PSU- Corsair TX650
HD- Spinpoint F3 1TB ( you didnt list one but just in case)

you plan on overclocking the i5-2500k right?

If you do the stock heatsink fan wont cool it enough so youll need a aftermarket heatsink fan and prob the vengeance lp

The 6870 and 560ti are a whole tier apart.

The 6950 and 560ti are the ones that trade blows

At stock the 560Ti is going to be better than the HD 6870 and it is also far better at overclocking.

The 560ti still isn't the same as 6870. It won't be able to handle BF3 at ultra settings.

I think it would with a slight overclock.

thats what im saying it would def handle BF3 ultra settings when overclocked and it could do high settings before that

It really depends on his monitor res though. at 1920 x 1080, the 6870 will struggle with AA on but if it's off it can play Ultra decently.
