Cable not connected error on acer monitor

Hi ,
i have a problem in my monitor, it showing "cable not connected" error.
initially it show no signal, then i changed my vga card, now it show cable not connected error.
i dont know what is the exact problem, please any one have any idea for solve this issue,

Try a different monitor with the PC, try the monitor with a different PC. Need to find out if the issue is with the PC or with the monitor.

Did you try a new cable?

Hi, I have changed the monitor and the cable but to no avail and I have not added a vga card or anything else, also the keyboard and mouse don't work either.

I have been asking friends and anyone else who owns a computer but I've drawn a blank - Dave.
