First gaming pc budget around £700 or $1100

Right this will be my first pc build i am currently looking at a future proofed AMD build which will be capable of playing the latest games such as battlefield 3 and shogun 2 without any pricey upgrades for the 1st year. My main query's are of the cpu, it cpu cooler, gpu and is raid 0 worth it.

Amd 955 or 1090t

corsiar h100 or a cheaper air cooler

ati 6870 or 6950 (to be flashed)

1 or 2 samsung 1TB spinpoint hard drives

  1. I don't think a 550w psu would cope with 2 6950's i am looking at a minimum of a 750w psu.

    Yeah im looking at the asus m5A990 am3+ board for £105.

    A 120gb ocz vertex 3 ssd costs £190 whicch is out of budget but i may get as an upgrade in 2012.
  2. The corsair psu's are out of budget the 850w cost £125 while a non modular xfx 850 is only £75

  6. Certainly go for a cheaper air cooler, the H100 is ridiculous.

  7. Im waiting on the reviews of the h100 before purchasing because i don't wont a heavy cooler as my pc will be getting moved a lot and i don't want to break anything which is why i'd prefer one of the closed loop water cooling kits.
