Hi guys,

So I think im finally in a position to smash my credit card to bits!

Ive been building up the below components list with the help of the Toms Hardware community and thanks to some super sweet advice I think ive got a machine that...
a) I will be incredibly happy with, and
b) would never have been able to build without all the support, so thanks!

The primary use of this build is gaming, eyefinity gaming to be exact. I plan to buy three 27 inch Asus ve278q's. Would love to hear from someone using these...

Ill also be using this for music production, so noise reduction is also key.

What im looking for is confirmation that the components will all play nice together, no bottle necks, enough case space, decent overclocking potential etc..

So, here's the build...

Case: silverstone-fortress FT02

I think ive thought of everything but i'd hate to drop the ball at the last minute, any final thoughts? Suggestions?

Budget is pretty flexible but I dont want to waste cash unnecessarily.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, im planning to start ordering in a couple of days...

Thanks in advance.

P.

Your PSU is more than adequate. It has a 70 amp 12 volt rail. the two largest power users are the XF'd 6970's (30 - 35 amps) and the CPU (10 amps). That leaves power to spare for the rest of the system.

The only problem I see might be with the music production. While the on-board sound will be OK for gaming, it may not be good enough for music. You may need to budget for an addon sound card.

Good build.

Consider;

-Dropping to a 2500k
-Swap the case for the Raven RV02e bw
(better cooling due to revised bottom fans and cheaper)
-Swap the HDD for a Spinpoint F3 1TB (faster/cheaper)
-Drop the 6970s for 6950s that can BIOS unlock to 6970s

- Spend some of the money saved on a great sound card, such as the ASUS Essence STX.
-> Best Headphone Amp Card I've ever heard, as good as my 800$ Home Theatre Amp.

Ok great, and thanks for the quick response. I actually have a lot of external sound equipment, Apogee system etc so thats not a problem.

Looks like im ready!

The only other question I have is about my monitor selection for eyefinity, do you see any issues with these? Looking to have decent frame rates in crysis, skyrim etc.

Thanks a lot for the help!

Also, what are some opinions on the Thermaltake Level 10, I know it has a crazy price tag but dose it perform? Is it quiet? Dose it have room to mount my prospective heat-sync.
